You are sitting under the Kalpavriksha

kalpavriksha tree

Human mind is like a Kalpavriksha or a wishing tree. Whatever you ask for becomes a reality. And developing the mind like a Kalpavriksha is in your hands.

The fundamental aspect of creating our lives the way we want is to direct our thoughts and feelings towards that which we want our lives to shape and blossom into. The essential part here is to use the power of the mind to make it happen. Manifesting and creating what we want in our lives is fundamentally and essentially dependent on how our mind and emotions are focused. Accordingly, they flower and blossom. This power of the mind needs to be developed so that everything in you is naturally driven towards it because the way you think is the way you feel, the way you feel is the way you act, and the way you act is in which direction your life will naturally go. So the power of the mind which is the basis of almost everything that human beings have created on this planet has to be harnessed.

Almost everything that is humanly made on this planet was first created in human mind. So how we organize and focus our minds within ourselves will be the basis of how and what direction our life flows. If one looks at this carefully, for most human beings 90 per cent of their thought process happens haphazardly, without any particular purpose or focus. When the mind is happening in such a haphazard and unfocused way, naturally life will also happen in the same way, because what you see as life, what you see as the world around you is just a magnified impact of human mind. The human societies are just magnified manifestation of what’s happening in the human mind. We talk about big issues like peaceful world and beautiful world when there is no peaceful mind and beautiful mind. Unless we make this happen within ourselves, manifesting this on the outside will not happen. Using the power of the mind or manifesting the power of the mind is traditionally called chit shakthi. Today, modern science is proving that the whole existence is just a reverberation of energy. What you call a thought is also a reverberation. If you create or generate a powerful thought and let it out, it always comes true. The problem right now is there are so many contradictory thoughts which are killing each other or fighting with each other within one’s own mind that manifesting what you want seem to be so difficult.

The reason why for one person success comes so easy and naturally, while for another it’s a struggle that one person thinks the way he wants to and another thinks against himself. So by using the chit shakthi or the power of mind, one can manifest and create what he wants in his life. There is a beautiful story in the yogic lore. A man went for a walk and accidentally walked into paradise. After the long walk he felt a little tired. He thought, “I wish I could rest somewhere.” He saw a nice beautiful tree beneath which there was wonderful soft grass. So he went and slept on the grass for a few hours. He woke up well rested. Then he thought, “Oh! I’m hungry. I wish I had something to eat.” He thought of all the nice things he ever wanted to eat and all of them just appeared in front of him. After the sumptuous food, he thought, “oh! I’m thirsty; I wish I had something to drink.” He thought of all the drinks that he ever wanted to drink and all of them appeared in front of him. After he drank some alcohol, he went back to his original nature. Do you remember Charles Darwin? He said that all human beings are actually monkeys; our tails fell off and we became humans. Though the tails fell off long time ago, the monkey-nature comes back with the slightest provocation.

In yoga, human mind is referred to as markata or the monkey. We are referring the mind as a monkey because of its wandering nature. The word monkey has also become synonymous with imitation. If you say you are monkeying somebody, it means imitating someone. It’s a fulltime job of your mind. So an un established mind is referred to as a monkey. When this monkey became active in the person who went to paradise, he thought, “what the hell is happening here? I asked for food, food came. I asked for drink, drink came. Maybe there are ghosts around.” He looked and there were ghosts. The moment he saw them he got terrified, he said, “oh there are ghosts around here, may be they will torture me.” And the ghost started torturing him, and he started screaming and yelling in pain. He said, “oh these ghosts are torturing me, they’re going to kill me.” And he died. The problem was he was sitting under. a wishing tree or a Kalpavriksha. Whatever he asked for became a reality. You are also constantly sitting under a Kalpavriksha.A well-established human mind is referred to as a Kalpavriksha or a wishing tree. In this mind, what ever you ask for becomes a reality. You need to develop the mind to a point where it becomes a Kalpavriksha, not a source of madness.

Concentration, meditation, being here and now

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

And my favorite post, written by me at 4th January 2008. After rereading it today I can only say – where are the times?

concentration meditation

I am trying a lot of concentration methods in the last days.
I am now seing a lot of power if you can concentrate very good.
Because you can eliminate lazyness completely from your life by the good use of will.
If you are master of your mind you are not distracted by your thoughts.
If you control your thoughts you control your emotions.
Yes, your emotions are simply product of your thoughts.
Many people are pulled by their mind to many directions.
They can’t drive the car (body, mind).
They are simply followers.
But it’s not good for the practical way of life.
You will not achieve big things with this mind setup.
Only after you learn how to concentrate on the topic you are doing, you will achieve enormous results.
Actually, you will achiveve anything and everything you will be only brave to dream about.

Think a little..
You have many ideas, dreams, ideals of your life.
Why can’t you achieve them?
Are you trying hard enough?
In my case it was because very big lazyness.
I couldn’t kick myself to start doing, I was only fantasizing.
But after learning how to concentrate I started to eliminate side thoughts.
The thoughts that are not helping me to achieve my desired things.
Everything is energy.. it takes no more energy to decide to finish the thing than to procrastinate.
It’s jusy a simple decision.
But you have to control these decistions at first.
You have to control the direction of your thoughts.
It can be all done with learning concetration techniques.

Macrobiotic ideas – what can macrobiotic practice bring to your life

Second old article written by me at 6th January 2008.

macrobiotic

Today I am interested to write about macrobiotic topic.
This is one of my big interests. Maybe the biggest one.
Once you realise that everything in life is somehow connected, you can’t depart from your life the influence of the food you eat daily.
Everything is energy and you should treat everything in this world like this.
If you are working in this mind picture you are seing the world quite differently.
The food you eat is transformed to the pure energy.
The macrobiotic is talking about main two energies.
The macrobiotic is derived from the Taoism and its view on the life.
Sweet, sugar is yin energy. It’s one side of the coin, one extreme.
The other side is salt, yang energy.
If you are eating overly salty and sugary foods you are flying between these two extremes and it’s very hard to stop, to balance.
If you want to be very balanced you have to work with the middle spectrum of energies. Not too much yin or yang.
These energies do containt all the main macrobiotic foods and they are:
whole cereals (rice, oat, wheat, barley..)
vegetables (except tomato)
seaweeds
condiments like shoyu, tamari, miso
fruits (but only from your local teritory)
oats

If you eat these balanced foods and if you use balanced cooking styles you are eating slowly, chewing right, the result is very healthy body, balanced mind and your life completely is getting better.
I know it sounds too scifi to believe that such a simple thing like food can be so powerful.
The best thing is to try it yourself and decide later.
I like Steve Pavlina’s 30 day challenge.
You will pick something you want to try and do it for 30 days, without any pause. You have to be strong and stick with it for 30 days. Then you will decide.
Btw Pavlina is starting his raw food eating experiment now.

Weight lifting – how to build muscles in my way

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

I have found my 1 year old articles, that I haven’t posted here. It’s always very nice to read your older writings, especially when they are about your personal life. Sometimes I wish I could have the mindset of these old times, maybe because I am on a downward spiral now? :)
I just want to quickly post these 3 articles now.
This one was written at 3rd January 2008.

Bruce Lee lean muscle

Today I would like to cover another of my very favorite topics – weight lifting.
I have been struggling for a long time with finding the ideal path for my body.
I am slim (thanks to macrobiotic) and I like lighter weights but many repetitions.
I don’t like the style of building one part of my body per day and covering the whole body in the whole week.
I know it’s very popular but I have founds something better for me.
Something that I think is more natural and it’s base for me.
I want to do things as naturaly as possible.

I started to build muscles wholy.
If I train I train every part of my body per one training session.
I don’t aim on one muscle only.
The main parts I prefer (like chest, back and legs) I train the first.
Then I will build the smaller ones.
What I also like is to do more type of workouts with little repetiotion series.
I like to do 2 series of both workout and I do only as many repetitions as my muscles will do.
Not overlifting myself. No hard pressing. Just to make my muscles feel the weight.
I think it’s enough to give them impulse to grow naturaly.
I don’t want my muscles to be painy the other day.
I want the muscle power and I get it easily with this type of workout.
This 2 series repetiotion and training whole body is not from my head.
It’s called somehow, but I can’t remember now. I will write about it in my next posts.

Typical Macrobiotic Day

Tuesday, April 7th, 2009

Phiya Kushi posted at his Facebook profile a link to interesting blog full of macrobiotic texts. I haven’t enough time to read more than this beautiful macrobiotic day review article.

Here’s a small excerpt:

My ideal breakfast is a serving (a really big one…haha) of whole grains topped with seaweed, with steamed or quick boiled greens, carrots, shitake and daikon radish. Well okay, my ideal MACROBIOTIC breakfast consists of these foods. I am a breakfast gal. My absolute favourite snack / meal at any time of the day was cold cereal. But once I tried macrobiotics, I realized how much BETTER I felt eating WHOLE grains…and have thus been transformed into this kind of breakfast lover.

Btw Phiya Kushi is posting daily a lot of very interesting links to articles and movies at the Facebook. Just search for his name and ask to be his friend, he will add you. It seems like he is a little bit more computer addicted persons, something that macrobiotic lifestyle don’t recommend. But if it’s so tempting :)
