Mental elimination process

mental health elimination process

I am creating and testing a new theory in my life, in the past days/weeks.
The theory about psychic eliminations.

The point is – there’s no reason to differentiate psychic eliminations from bodily ones.
Let me explain.

When you understand the logic about the physical eliminations, about illnesses, you know they are not a bad things.
Actually, all eliminations and illnesses are great and you should let them happen, not to suppress them.
Even, you should boost them up with some kind of natural remedy.
You suffer for a while, having a fever, head-ache, skin problems, but you know the only way how to treat it, is to go to the cause, not only suppressing the symptoms.
This logic is well known to the macrobiotic world and other “natural methods” practitioners.

I think we should go one step farther with this logic.
And start to realize how our mental/emotional body is using the very same principles.
But the elimination processes are not of the physical dimension of course.
They are the types of fear, stress, anxiety, nervousness, phobia, feeling of lack, envy, hate, self-doubt etc.

When all bodily eliminations are gone, the natural state of our physical body is a good physical health.
And the same logic applies to the emotional/mental health.
The natural state of our mental body manifests as easiness, love, courage, compassion, open-mindedness, curiousity, abundance, adaptability, creativeness, adventurousness, less thinking about oneself, more thinking about Oneness.
These qualities are not something we have to strive for, to fight for, to invest a lot of personal energy to achieve.
They are our natural state of being.

This is very important to understand.
From this logic, come up simple conclusions:

Apply the same elimination thinking to your mental processes.
Let them flow, let them be, don’t suppress them, don’t judge them, don’t try to get around them, acknowledge them.
And to eliminate quickly, even try to celebrate them, love them.
Nurture them – in a sense of paying full attention for a while to them, observe them, but remember – without judging – they are as they are.
As you see, it’s a very similar level of thinking as I have described about the physical eliminations.
See the similarity on a energetic level and it will make perfect sense to you.

The problem of society is obvious – we are suppressing our unwanted emotions, clinging to one side of the coin and creating a lot of havoc in our mental sphere.
It’s all unnecessary, if we understand this simple elimination logic.

But, there are always tricky parts, otherwise all people would be healthy and using these natural methods.

One of the traps is this:
The mental body is much more flexible than the physical one.
It reacts much quicker, all happens very fast in the comparison to the physical world.
What’s the conclusion of this?
Again, very simple.
You are a being influenced by different energetic inputs and they can manifest at your mental sphere very fast.
You can get away of fear for a half day, to experience it again at the other half.
You can have mental eliminations each morning, each day and it may seem like there’s no progress.

And on top of that – the healthier you are, the faster the mental reactions/eliminations do happen.
The same applies to the physical body – here’s an example:
The better your physical health, the faster you get eliminations when you (for example) eat something from the extreme part of energies (white sugar, lot of fats, milk – using the macrobiotic logic here).
Yes, it is a paradox, but illnesses/eliminations are a good sign of your healthy physical body.
The body is eliminating excesses, to maintain perfect health – and an effective, healthy body does it in a fast way.

The same things happen to your mental body, but it happens much faster.
The eliminations come much faster, which can be seen as a bad thing, but they can be released also much faster, if we let them go.
You can eat something of the extreme foods, and you can in a matter of minutes start to have weird mental thoughts – food energy manifestation is really happening fastest in the mental/psychical world – the more attention you pay to it, the more obvious it becomes to you.
Now, you can start to obsess with your weird thoughts, not understanding them, feeling bad for them, suppressing them, like many people do, even the macrobiotic people and not seeing any connection to the food you have eaten.
But it all testifies how unknowledgeable we are – what a misunderstandment.

Start to treat your mental eliminations with this theory and all becomes much easier.
Believe, that when you let them happen, let them eliminate, your mental body will start to clean from a years of debris.
It can start to become quite hard, because all the suppressed emotions are stored there.
But don’t run away from them.

Learn how to meditate, because in meditation you take this mental healing to perfection.
There’s no better way for mental cleaning, than meditations.
Sit, meditate, observe your emotions, don’t judge.
See the meditation process a perfect cleaning exercise – don’t expect anything, don’t think about nirvana or other complicated subjects or state of beings/consciousness, that should be achieved by it.
Just simply sit and do the meditation regularly to clean your mental body.
And it will happen!

The problem is, many people are thinking the meditations and spiritual practices in general should lead to happy, loving, joyous mental states.
And when the fears, anxiety starts to emerge in their life, after they start these spiritual practices, they are afraid, they didn’t expect them, it’s something completely else they wanted, hence they stop to practice and evaluate this spiritual practice as wrong.
They still search for the perfect spiritual path, that will give them the happiness and of course – if you search, you will find.
They will find their “all is perfect” practice.
But what’s the price?
Very big if you ask me – the price of total blindness, artificial reality, matrix dream world.
They succumb to their distorted view of reality, they need to suppress a lot of things in their psyche, they have to invest a lot of energy daily to hold their distorted world and they are becoming slaves of their own Mind world.
It’s all becoming on this subtle energetic level, and it can be understood very easily when you read and listen the right people carefully.

For me, it was a big trap of my spiritual searching. I have fallen to this “all is perfect” dream, I suppressed, I shun from my negative emotions.
But this period was needed to realize how wrong I am.
Maybe there’s no other way to understand things than to make all the mistakes for yourself.
You can read and hear from thousands people, but you never learn, other than from your own experience.
I am 99% sure that this ‘learning only through your own experience’ process is true.

But still, there’s a very important logic in listening and reading all the advices of other people.
Because you can become aware of them, you notice them, get acquainted about how things could work, what are the possibilities.
And when you fall in all the traps, you can bring out the right solution from your magical hat of knowledge.
Maybe it’s still possible to see the solution even without reading anything, without listening anyone – maybe.
But many people are better with having these backup knowledge at their hand – you don’t need to think up the plow if others already done it.

So, if you have fallen already in the trap, or if it waits for you still – it doesn’t matter, take notice of my simple logic here and use it now or later in your life.

Actually, the more I work with this simple thinking, the more evident it is to me and the less I understand how it could happen, that something this basic is not described in a more friendly and logical way.
Of course, it can be the problem of me, that I haven’t read/listened to the right people.
I am not sure if I have created another complicated description of this topic, but I feel like my explanation brings something new, some new insight, especially for the macrobiotic people and for the people seeing logic in the “all is energy” world.
As usually, it brings a new insight to me at least – the writer gets the biggest results, not the reader :)

One last thing – this logic is a perfect example of how we are still not seeing similarities in everything around us.
We are treating physical and mental world like completely different realities, with different set of rules, laws.
Maybe, from the west-science point of view, it could be true, that different rules apply for them.
But this is the perfect time to appreciate the logic of yin/yang.
Yin/yang will educate you and give you a perfect system for working with the whole reality – no matter if physical or mental, energy or matter.
They are all the same – once you understand the Principle of something, you can very creatively apply the same logic in a very different part of the Universe.

So, to sum it up: mental eliminations are using the same logic as the physical ones.
Let all the eliminations flow out of you freely.

Love you! ;)

Return to your True Self, return to Innocence

For a better entertainment: I suggest you click the play button at the above video and start reading, the music of the video is important :)

Don’t underestimate the simplicity of life!

People make things unbearably complicated.
In the ‘making things complicated’ they already manifest their mental illness, their deviation from the Natural principle – which is Simplicity.

We are born Strong, we are born Love, we are born Responsible to our real Self! All child are being born with these characteristics.

We just regrettably pay the price of Freedom.
Because freedom does mean, you are free to choose to be slave and to make slaves from others.
Yes, this is the real price of the real freedom. If you would be born in Greece, in Athens or Sparta, long time ago, they would keep you strong, responsible and brave for the whole lifetime. You would have no other choice, hence no freedom.

Realize your freedom, realize you choose to be weak, to be ill, to follow other’s commands instead of your own. To follow the material possessions instead of finding enormous joy in the non-attachment. All was done upon you, but you have all accepted, nobody hold a shotgun on your head, forcing you to accept all the rules of the dementic society.

Now, when you realize this, the next step is to return to the Source. Realize the intrinsic simplicity of the whole Universe.

If you are born strong, you can become strong again. The steps are very simple and this is the problem for many people. They can’t belief something so simple can be true. We have been learned to belief in complicated theories – left brain thinking.
Delete this self-destroying program from your mind, hack inside and erase it completely and start observing the simple laws of Nature everywhere.

Ok, enough of my philosophical (yin) introduction, now you’ll get the practical (yang) part – the Rules of the Battlefield.

Do all these things daily/weekly. Get them in harmony, balance them wisely. Which means – don’t stop doing any of the rules and also don’t start doing any rule too fanatically, too much. The exact balancing is upon you, upon your experiences, observations. We are all different. Find your way by constant practice.

  • Healthy eating – Eat wisely, study macrobiotic, chew very well.
  • Physical activity – something that you enjoy, that gets you breathing fully, also some muscular exercises. Make your choice, there are many – walking, running, tai-chi, yoga, do-in, five tibetan, aikido, squash, bike, swimming.. whatever.
  • Fresh air – go for a walk, preferably to the Nature. Ventilate your rooms with fresh air as much as possible. Install more plants in your rooms, if you haven’t already.
  • Do some kind of mind catharsis – some form of meditation. Clean your mind from all the mental rubbish accumulated from the day. Just observe all thoughts, without judging, let them go, don’t entangle with them. Don’t try to stop them, this is not the point.
  • Sleep well – get enough rest, not too much, but not too little.
  • That’s it, that’s all. Very probably I will update and change this list in the future. But the point is, to inspire you to start looking at life from the simple logic. To start being responsible for all that’s happening to you – to the deepest of your emotions and feelings. Your weakness, your fears, your depressions, melancholy, anxiety, aggressiveness – they are all very logical result of the life you live now. You have to experience them, because you live how you live, you do what you do. But by changing your daily habits, you change these core emotions and all your beliefs also!

This is a big Truth, that is available for you to discover daily. Try to be balanced in all the daily activities and you will get happy mind and life. Because the balance is another name for happiness and health.

You can feel the Truth from these images. Don’t run away from it, it’s not a storytale, it’s not a Dream. It is reality inside you. The life you live is just a bad Dream, you mixed it up!

    spiral fractal pyramid

I am going to read this wonderful online book – Souls of Distortion (I have scanned quickly through it so far).
The topics are: connection of spirituality and since, pyramids, fractals, vibrations, basic law of nature expressed by mathematic, spirals, consciousnes, dna, sound and word vibrations, symbols, ancient texts (bible, vedas) – everything is connected in this world and everything has the same simply perfect logic coded inside, we are just one part of the whole, we are expression of the same force that created everything around us. That’s why we need to copy Nature laws in eating and everyday doing if we want superious life, full of love, joy, harmony, consciousness, health and happiness. Simple as that, learn the rules and you’ll be enlightened, transformed!
This should be teached at the schools and we would be all living in the Nirvana here&now. Amen

The transformation on Earth is supposedly to have started somewhere in the eighties of the previous age and should culminate around 2012.

When I first heard of such claims I dismissed them out of first hand, you will probably too if this book is the first one you read about the subject!

After reading and studying a lot of material that supports these claims, I’ve lost a lot of my scepticism and have come to believe that we live in a very special lifetime indeed. The topic itself vibrates with my core being. For as long as I can remember I have felt that things could be so much different in our world and it has finally brought me to write this book. It’s my little contribution to a better world by sharing this information with you in a world that needs it so badly in these troubled times.

This book is not about ‘the end of the world’, the ‘Apocalypse’; on the contrary, it’s about the end of the old world that you and I know today and the birth of a brighter new one.

As the author writes – I wasn’t believing many months/years, but slowly, the more informations I collect about this topic, I can’t believe how stupid and sceptical I was – this is the system’s influence by the way, this is normal that you are sceptical to these things, because the system has domesticated you – you need to see through this manipulation and try to get informations about these topics and connect the dots.

Here’s the book – Souls of Distortion (click the Next buttons at the bottom for reading it whole).

I invite you to use your intuition as well when you absorb the material discussed within this book. Many of the things you’re about to read in this book are not easily accepted by our materialistic brainwashed minds. In the Western civilized world we’ve come to rely only on scientific facts (left brain male logic), whereas in the East it is said to be true if it is personally experienced (right brain female intuition). I invite you to use both and find out what’s true for you!

I can perfectly imagine you’re very sceptical about the subject of this book and the things you’re about to read. Scepticism is a sound mechanism while evaluating new concepts. However I’d like to give you also the suggestion that scepticism may be used as a defence mechanism by the ego to protect us from being wrong. By being a sceptic we accept the world as it is, it is a safe haven, a status quo. If we don’t let in any new beliefs, we cannot be affected in our core existence and can go about our business as usual. Sceptics are often in good company since they join the masses. However scepticism may also be a hindrance that stops us from learning. It takes courage to allow yourself to ponder the new concepts in this book. In this respect this book is not an easy read and it will require an open mind.

And here are other on topic websites:
    Spiral
Return to the Whole (seems like another very interesting online book)
    Integral Dynamics many interesting videos

“it is hard to avoid the conclusion that we are looking at one of nature’s most basic pattern-forming processes . . . [and seeing] the hidden and harmonious order built into body and mind, as it is built into every flower and leaf, mirrored by the crafts, and echoed by music . . . .”

This picture is beautiful example of how to see the spirals in everything. They are not only connected to the visible things, but they are the core of everything, even of our spiritual development. Seemingly, you feel sometime you are going in the circles – you eat macrobioticly, then you stop and overeat for a while; you meditate intensively, or you do some sport and then you stop and these periods changes like a clockwork – if you think you are going in circles, you are wrong. These changes, these periods, your whole life advancement/declinment is one big spiral. You are still going up or down in this spiral, this is the point. It’s up to you if you are making your spiral rolling up or down. Eat healthy, meditate, be physicaly active, learn new things and you can be sure that your spiral is going up ;)

Five stones in equilibrium isolated over white...

If a man has been saved once by Oriental medicine, he has no possibility of falling ill again in his lifetime. Otherwise, he has not been truly cured, or he has not grasped the essence of the medical practice. If he becomes ill several times again, he is not worth curing, he must be allowed to suffer that he might learn the law. That is only way to bring him to true salvation and to consolidate the happiness of all of humanity.

One must concentrate the physical constitution, the ground, the inner environment so soundly that the factors of disease cannot penetrate into it or are no longer active in it. This is the perfect physiological synthesis which all the animals and all the birds possess, instinctively. Let us not confuse this with preventive medicine, which is but another analytical science. The perfect medicine, the Ido, is the medical application of all the In’Yological (yin/yang) understanding of the entire universe.

How to start and follow the macrobiotic diet

    wheat grains macrobiotic

This is my answer to one of the reader’s question. This opinion is very personal view on the “how to follow the macrobiotic diet” topic (why do I say it, this is personal blog, right?) :) So read it like an interesting opinion from someone who eats 6 years macrobioticaly and take what you want from it.

Here’s Wendy’s question, that inspired me to write this post:

Hello, I just searched for “macrobiotic lifestyle how-to” and stumbled upon your blog. It is extremely informative and wonderful. Please keep writing and don”t feel discouraged to quit just when I’ve found you! I need all the info I can get as I would like to begin this lifestyle. :)
I am a vegan and obviously would continue that while eating the macobiotic way. Any thoughts on this? I know many people following this lifestyle eat fish, is that essential? I would think not. Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
I am going to go back to reading your blog and gleaning more knowledge.
    Thank you!
    -Wendy

Hey Wendy, thanks a lot for a lovely comment :)
No worry, I won’t stop posting new things that interest me. It’s just, that when people comment, like you did, and ask about specific questions, I can relate to them with my posts. I can provide them with many answers from my macrobiotic experience and I am not playing “I know it all”, I know when to give my personal advice and when to provide an useful link to another website with interesting answers.

About the fish.. from the people I know around me, they have no problem at all, being on the macrobiotic without any meat/fishes. Don’t worry, experiment. Me personaly, I eat fish about 1 time a month, I don’t eat any other meat. I have no need for meat. There are questions about the B12, but there are so many different opinions, that I wouldn’t worry with this issue at the beginning. I think the best thing you can do when starting with macrobiotic is this: take it easy, keep it simple and most importantly in M, learn cooking. Don’t be stressed and obsessed by too much theories at the start, the books are full of them. The M system is very complex. But also very simple. It depends how you look at it. Leave the complexities for later if you want. Because the most important, why people don’t stick with M longer is, they hadn’t patience to learn the proper cooking styles and because of that, they don’t know how to satisfy their cravings.

The cooking doesn’t take much longer time than any different cooking style/diet. It’s only that it seems so, at the beginning. People think, it’s very complicated. But it is not. Just take it easy and learn a little each day. Practice new recipes. It’s all down to the cooking. All the theories are great, but in the end, to any illness, problem, the general suggestion is to follow the standard macrobiotic plate. You can know many details about each topic later, but when you don’t know how to cook, you are just a full head of theories without action.

Practice, practice and don’t be afraid that you can do anything wrong. Don’t be obsessed by the exact cooking rules (there are many tiny-details in each cooking book, that are making new comers crazy). Don’t fret about the exaxct cooking times, exact procedures, when you start with M. I see many people around me, they have problems with this. They ask, if it’s too bad if they boiled miso for 5 minutes instead of simmering. If it’s totaly bad for their health if they eat honey or raw fruit, or if they put raw salt on their plate instead of cooking it, the same with oil. And then, people are stressed and rather stop with macrobiotic and switch to completely poor eating habit, instead of making mistakes with macrobiotic and continuing the learning process.

But this is typical in all the human’s endeavors. We are just like this. This could be summarized as the complex of perfectionism, idealism. If we don’t eat macrobiotic (switch to your favorite diet/activity) perfectly well, we rather stop it. If we don’t go to the gym each day, we rather don’t go at all, instead of going once per week for example. If we eat something non-macrobiotic that day, we follow the same poor pattern the whole day and are thinking, that only from tommorow we can start again.
I suggest anyone starting the M diet, don’t be so strict with yourself. Accept the biggest rule of Life: we are not perfect, nothing is perfect!
Do the best you can, with what you have, where you are.
And never, never give up :)

I see this path as perfectly ok too:
If you have no serious illness and you would like to start macrobiotic, start just eating 1 single macrobiotic meal a day. For example for 1 week, or 2 or 3, depends on you. Then, it will become perfect habit and very easy to follow for you. For a dinner or supper or breakfast, you will have 1 macrobiotic meal. You will slowly learn the cooking. Then, simply add a second M meal to your daily eating. Again, stick to it for 1 week or more. And then try to eat 3 meals and then continue with snacks too. No need to hurry, you can transition to the full macrobiotic diet for a period of 1 year. Anything is better than nothing.

But if you are cold turkey person.. hey, no problem, just go for it in your style. The paragraph above was for the easy, relaxed people :)

And here are few links for your continuous research and inspiration. Check this website and there is a selection box, where you select any person and you can read their interview. The first sentence is usually how they started with macrobiotic and it follows with their real life experiences. Very interesting reading.

In general, the whole macrobiotics.co.uk website has many many informative articles about M.

But ofcourse, the first thing to do, is to buy a complete, comprehensive book. I am sorry, but I won’t give any book suggestion, because I am not from the english speaking country and I am not acquainted which books are good for he beginners. If you have any suggestions, please, leave them at the comments.

Also, anyone, anytime, anywhere.. if you have any question, post them to comments. Don’t think it’s a stupid question, there’s no one like this! I can answer many questions, give you opinions and useful links.

Macrobiotic is wonderful lifestyle system. It’s not only about eating. It transforms you completely, not from the outside, but from the core inside. Nothing can transform you so deeply as food, no other knowledge. The deepest knowledge is coming with the food, that creates all your body cells. Your physical body, but the spiritual too! All si connected.

    Thinking beyond the genes

We all somehow “know” that the mind/body connection is key to real health. Are you tired of trying to find the words that describe how the mind and body are related, and why their relationships are important for proper health?

A renaissance in Cell Biology now provides the cutting edge science – real science – to prove how holistic health therapies work! Research scientist Bruce Lipton, Ph.D., introduces a long-awaited paradigm shift in the biomedical sciences. The new science will inspire your spirit, engage your mind and challenge your creativity as you comprehend the enormous real potential for applying this information in your life and in your profession.

Bruce compares the evolution of the cell to that of humankind; clearly demonstrates that much of our technology is in direct imitation of Nature’s designs for cell structures. The myths of genes vs. the magic of membranes. Case made that it is not our genes, but our environment, and our perception of the environment, that ultimately regulates our health and behavior.

Based upon his research at Stanford University, Dr. Lipton’s most recent research publications on the regulation of cell behavior have yielded insight into the molecular basis of consciousness and the future of human evolution.

Karma yoga – how to survive Kali Yuga

    Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

    ganesh

    Babaji speaks:

What I want to instill in man is courage. I want to have a creation of courageous people. Only courageous people can come here. Only courageous people can survive such critical times. I have spoken to you many times about the extent of the calamities to come. They will be so terrible that people without courage will die instantly from heart failure. We have to have the courage to face floods, fire and storms. We have to go beyond the fear of death and the hope of life.

I want a creation where there is no dependency of any kind. Everyone should be able to stand on his/her own two feet. The problems of all countries can be solved when everyone becomes hard working. As long as there is laziness in the world, people cannot attain happiness. Today’s world leaders have created circumstances which make it difficult even to breath. If you are active and hard working, then you can do everything yourselves. Materialism is rising like a great storm and we have to face it.

I have told you before that through Karma Yoga alone can you attain liberation. Any material desire you may have can be fulfilled by Karma Yoga, as well. Karma Yoga is Supreme Yoga. Lord Rama and Lord Krishna taught this, too. Not only did they teach it, they also practiced it and were successful in it.

The great battle fought in the Mahabharata was an example of Karma Yoga. The tyrant kings of that time came and fought on the battlefield, where they died fighting bravely – doing their Karma Yoga, and thus attained liberation. This is why Karma Yoga is Supreme. By Karma Yoga, Lord Rama lessened the earth’s burden. Those who are lazy, inactive, are a burden to the earth.

So all of you have to go beyond the fear of death and the hope of life and go on doing Karma Yoga. Karma Yoga is the only type of yoga that gives immediate results. Whatever you do in the morning, you can see the results in the evening, standing before you like a picture. The seeds sown in the morning sprout by the evening. The farmer harvests the results of his Karma Yoga after six months. Everyone does Karma naturally, no one can remain without it. We must perform those actions which will benefit others – and not only other people but the whole of Creation.

It is of no use to give birth to millions of sheep. One hard working human being is enough to save the world. We must all become hard working and teach coming generations as well. All other forms of yoga come second only to Karma Yoga because the whole world is maintained by Karma. So practice Karma Yoga and progress. People in the world nowadays have become very cowardly. That is why we have to be courageous, adventurous..

The food which we eat must be clean and nutritious, like it was today. (There had been a fine birthday feast that noon.) We should pay special attention to everyone’s health. Wherever there are centers, people should try to grow and cook good vegetables and make halvah and distribute them to others! Food should be nutritious so your strength for working will increase and your mind will be strong, too. It is necessary to keep the body in good health in order to do good Karma. If your body is not strong, how will you work? We should eat nutritious food so our bodies become energetic and our brains work better.

I want a Creation of strong and healthy people – there is no place for weak people. I want people in this Creation to be as fast in their actions as the Wind. I want people who work with all their bodily energies. At this time, the world needs such brave, strong people.

If you are weak, how will you work and how will you live? You must generate energy in order to exist. Everyone must always be working hard. You should never cultivate inaction here. There is no use to be a deadweight to the Earth. Whatever wars were fought during the past centuries were only to relieve the world of the dead weight of idleness. You must be hard workers.

If you are engaged in doing good deeds and go on doing good acts, you will have good sleep, good appetite and bad thoughts will not cross your mind. Otherwise, you will always be criticizing others. In inaction, your minds will always be engaged in thinking critically of others. Karma – activity – is the only thing which can drive out all evils..

    lazy tired bear

    Start moving every day.
    Simple walking will do.
    Walk very fast.
    30 minutes daily.

    But any moving is ok.
    Run, bike, swim, housework.

    Stop eating white sugar!
Change to fruits, honey, malts and sirups from cereals.
    Eat small portions more often.

    Concentrate on everything you do.
    When eating, just eat.
    When reading, just read.
    When walking, just…
Ability to concentrate will build up like muscles do.

These three things – physical activity, healthier diet, concentration development – leads to more active lifestyle.

Why should we eat less sugar

    Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

Why should we eat less sugar (white granulated sugar or saccharose)?

There are many reasons to use sugar very cautiously. About fifteen years ago, suddenly this sweetener, which had been highly appreciated until then, was strongly criticised : it was said that sugar provided but little energy, that it was a fattener, that it weakened the tissue and caused tooth decay. Suddenly sugar was seen as the cause of all kinds of ailments. And indeed, the use of refined white sugar is certainly to be advised against!

So as to digest and take in sugar, our body uses various minerals and vitamins, which can no longer be found in refined white sugar. When eating sugar, we therefore force our body to draw on its reserves of calcium, magnesium and vitamins B, whereby we risk becoming deficient in these substances. However, these minerals and vitamins play a vital part in various other processes that take place in our body.

But that is not all. Like amylum, saccharose does not have to go through the long digestive process. This substance is taken in very quickly, since it needs only a minimal enzymatic digestion — or none at all. Why is it then that refined white sugar is so detrimental?
The reason is that the quick intake causes a very sudden and considerable increase in the amount of glucose in the blood. The blood sugar level rises and the body produces a large quantity of insulin so that our cells take in the glucose. It will even produce much more insulin than necessary in order to take in the surplus of glucose, which leads to a new imbalance that reveals itself in a lower blood sugar level (this means a deficiency of blood sugar), the result being tiredness, dizziness and nausea.

This surplus of glucose ends up in our cells, which cannot take it in completely, neither by combustion, nor by storage in our reserves (glycogen). The glucose is therefore transformed into fat, which leads to obesity and cardiovascular disorders.

    In short :
refined sugars affect our calcium and vitamin B reserves
simple glucosides cause the blood sugar level to rise, and to fall immediately afterwards
    simple glucosides lead to obesity
simple glucosides stimulate the formation of fatty acids and as a consequence may lead to cardiovascular disorders

Clearly, preference should always be given to non-refined sugars, which still contain their original level of calcium and vitamin B. However, the ideal solution is to opt for “slow sugars”.

    5. He sleeps deeply, without dreams. Four or five hours is enough.

Interesting, I hope I will get to this health state quickly. Sleeping 4 hours would give me lots of time for more work, but is it really possible with casual macrobiotic regime?

    Macrobiotic day log – 08/04/21

    Monday, April 21st, 2008

Previous day last meal was at 17:00, then I took high speed longer walk (hara walking) in the forest, got to sleep at 21:30 (5 and 1/2 hours after the meal). I was satisfied with the last meal maybe because I used 2 spoons of oil. I fried bread in the oil, added shoyu and ended with fresh chinese cabbage – complete satisfaction and lot of energy and no sweet cravings. I try to eat my last meals like this. End at 17pm and go to sleep around 21 pm and get up earlier, like 5 – 6 am. In this way I will not overeat at night and I can control my sweet cravings through the day much easier than at night. So if I will go sleep earlier I will withhold some portion of the sweets. And it seems to me much healthier time setup – to go sleep early and get up early. I was reading about the history of the Maya civilization and there was daily regime described in the book – they got up at 4 am and immediately went to work on the corn fields until around 14-15 pm. Then they ate their 2 main foods and went to sleep at 20 pm.

    6:30 get up
8:00 – 8:50 yesterday pressure cooked oat + rice; boiled carrot + broccoli
11:05 – 13:05 the same grains + little shoyu + little sesame oil + dandelion, chives and daisy; 1 teaspoon of natto; fried bread in 1 spoon of oil and 1 tablespoon of shoyu + lot of raw chinese cabbage; roasted seeds + barley malt (3-5 tablespoons) well chewed – not a good day with sweets again :-( but i am going to physicaly work a lot now, so at least I will compensate for this a little
physical work around the house (old windows demolition)
17:20 – 18:50 miso soup – carrot, parsley, onion, wakame, sunflower oil; lot of freshly pressure cooked brown rice + barley + lentils (soaked overnight)
19:40 I have sweet cravings, but I am sleepy, so I can manage it by telling myself, that I will rather go to sleep than to eat anything.
    22:00 sleep

    Macrobiotic day log – 08/04/11

    Saturday, April 12th, 2008

    7:00 get up
    9:00 – 9:15 stretching
9:15 – 9:45 freshly pressure cooked 50% rice + 50% emmer grain, boiled carrot and parsley, chewed 50-100x, proper sitting with straight spine (you can feel the full stomach much quicker in the straight position, when sitting hunched you will usually overeat, but the straight spine has many other positive effects ofcourse)
    11:50 – 12:30 the same
4km bike trip to the forest, bare foot training chi kung and eye stretching (Bate’s method)
15:15 – 16:15 same grains, boiled cabbage with miso and wild plants (herbs)
17:45 small cup of freshly cooked red beans with kombu (1 hour 40 mins – soaked overnight)
19:25 – 21:00 same grains; boiled carrot; oil fried bread with 3 day pickles + shoyu + little water; white flour pastas + barley malt; almonds + barley malt; kuzu+shoyu drink to compensate my yin overtake

Listening to a new music (to me) The Bouncing Souls – very speedy funny style. I am dancing all over the flat till midnight :) I have also started to get interested in the natural house building processes. I want to learn some techniques how to build simple cheape houses. I am very interested in the traditional Japanese building techniques, but it will be really hard to get to know someone who can really make old tatamis and old Japanese houses. But after watching samurai DVD series I fell in love with their houses simplicity and effectivity. I have also read, that Tatami does smell very nicely, because it’s made from the rice straw – imagine sleeping in the straw and the beatiful smell. I am thinking about trying to make my own tatami from the writings I have read about it. It will be just for fun, at least the smell of fresh strow will be there :)
I got also offer to live or spend some time in the Russia beginning alternative village (according to the Anastasia dreams). There are people of Czechs, Russia and Srbia and their main aim is Love in the Nature – what could be better. Yeah, one thing is missing from our macrobiotic view – they are mostly vegetarians, but still eating sugar and other more extreme yin/yang energies. They would be much more connected with the Nature line if implementing macrobiotic lifestyle (eating habits). I the past I was finding big problems with living in such a community where people are not eating macrobiotics. But the more I chew and more I am humble, I can imagine living anywhere, as long as I could cook my macrobiotic meal there and be happy with some small personal space (house).
I am on the crossroads in my Life now. I have many great options what to do and where to move now. One is the Russia village, another is Holland Kushi Institute, another is macrobiotic community in the sounce France and another new one is to work as a Security man in the UK. The last one is not spiritual, it’s just simple money making opportunity. The job is very easy, good for meditative people, because all you do is walk and watch at some places like supermarkets, construction places etc. And the earning is nice for this simple job – it’s 6 pounds per hour. The living costs there would be 200 – 400. So with the 10 hour shift, the real net income would be from 800 – 1000, which is quite nice if you consider the type of the job. I feel I will need money in the future to start my living in the nature, to build my simple cheap house (cob, wood, bamboo – i don’t know yet) and to buy the land place, or I can use our land that my mother inherited, but I don’t see it as the perfect dream place, it would be the last option. I don’t need too much money for the house, I imagine maximum of $35.000 to get me builded nice low energy natural house. But still I need these money at least. I am not sure which path to choose now, but I feel I don’t need the money now and I will concentrate on experiences and money will come somehow later. My new dream, growing inside me and completely strange to my computer professional life is to be “Natural House builder”. To learn some techniques (my dream one is Traditional Japanese Houses) and to get better and better, to study, to travel and learn from other people and work hard in the sunny nature, not inside some building while sitting before computer. It’s my BIG dream now. I am more moving from the computer and closed buildings to the outside Nature beautiful world and feeling very happy there, something I have never felt before. It all began with my intensive rice chewing and humble asking the Nature for my new life direction. And since then (3 months before), I started to really live and my life changed by a big amount – complete 180 degree turn for somebody who was used to sit before computer and earn money with building spammy SEO sites.
Thank you mother Nature for everything :)

    Macrobiotic daily eating log

    Friday, February 29th, 2008

I would like to start posting and logging and blogging about my daily eating habits. I will try to make descriptions of the ingredients and make a nice pictures of my daily foods. Sometimes I will post only my lunch recipe, sometimes breakfast or dinner too. It will depend on my time, mood and if the meals would be interesting to blog about. It’s all one big experiment what I am going to do. I always wanted to log what I eat daily and it seems that if I will blog about it here, I will even give other people new ideas and maybe encourage them to start cooking macrobiotic too. It’s not hard at all. I am single man, living alone, cooking for myself only and I am preparing 3 meals a day. I won’t lie to you, it’s taking quite much time, because I am trying to cook as best as I can just now. But any time invested in your health, is not lost time. You will gain a massive amount of energy, happiness, well-being from your orderly cooked macrobiotic foods and if you eat them in relaxed manner and chewing them well. Don’t exchange your time for money, by working hard in a lousy job and neglecting your health. Stop and try to think a little. Anything in this world is more important than your health. If you are healthy, you can build on top of that. But no model can work opposite. You can’t do anything well if you are not healthy. Be patient and start cooking macrobioticly, because it’s the only food system, that is in harmony with nature and leads to natural well-being and happiness. Ok, from now, you will see more pictures and recipes at this blog. Enjoy and post comments if you want :-)

What books can I read about the macrobiotic diet?

    Sunday, February 17th, 2008

The term Macrobiotic diet or macrobiotics was first devised by the German physician Christoph Wilhelm Hufeland in his book Macrobiotics or the Art of Extending Human Life (1796) which included a dietary regime.

The Macrobiotic diet as we know it today is based on the philosophy of George Ohsawa (1893-1966), a Japanese philosopher in his book Macrobiotic Guidebook for Living. Various books have been written on the subject of macrobiotic diet mainly by Ohsawa’s pupils Michiko Kushi and Aveline Kushi; some of the books that could be mentioned are Macrobiotic Way (M. Kushi), Aveline Kushi’s Complete Guide to Macrobiotic Cooking (A. Kushi), The Macrobiotic Path to Total Health (M. Kushi and Alex Jack).

The Macrobiotic diet is supposed to prevent and cure cancer and various books have been written on the subject like for example the book Recalled by Life describes the way Anthony Satillaro, M.D battled prostate cancer with the help of macrobiotics; Michiko Kushi has also written on the subject in his book Macrobiotic Approach to Cancer.
